Tomorrow Prayers for LP

Yesterday Lucas chose to do the MRI without sedation. Rockstar. He was in the machine for 1 hour listening to Bill Withers (again his choice). He’s unbelievable.

The MRI showed NO new mass, tumor or leukemia in the brain or in the optic nerves which is one potential cause of papilledema. This is GOOD news. Papilledema (which he has per the eye doctor with the extremely high pressure of 193/218 in each eye) is VERY concerning and dangerous. The normal range is under 100.

Tomorrow (Thursday) Lucas will be put under anesthesia at 8am for a lumbar puncture. They will be assessing his opening spinal fluid pressure which we need to be LOW and also re-checking his spinal fluid which we need to be CLEAR. .

They took him off of the Flt3 inhibitor, Gilteritnib, to see if this makes a difference.

Prayer requests for Lucas today and tomorrow:

* Please let the spinal fluid pressure be low and in the normal range

* Please heal papilledema and reduce the swelling in his eyes and brain. Help provide the necessary guidance to the doctors to treat him.

* Please let this be nothing serious God and that he can be healed quickly and easily

* Please keep Lucas Bear cured and forever free and clear of all cancer, leukemia and disease. We pray for this healing miracle God.
