Prayers for Lucas tonight (Jan 6) at 8:30pm EST

Good but needs more testing

Lucas’ marrow was MRD negative which is 0.0%, the best possible result of chemo on the bone marrow. But since the bone marrow and the brain barrier are separate (the blood / brain barrier) they also have to test his spinal fluid every time with a spinal tap (aka lumbar puncture).

Retesting Spinal Fluid

The spinal fluid test showed one ‘atypical cell.’ Lucas has had clear spinal fluid before and our prayer is that the chemo they gave him in his spine on Monday will give us a clean sample to send him to transplant. They are performing another lumbar puncture procedure tomorrow morning (Jan 7th) to see if the chemo they put in Monday eradicated the abnormal cell.

There are lots of the best people having in-depth conversations about Lucas right now and we are in the best hands we can possibly be in.

Prayers for 8:30pm EST tonight

• God we pray that Lucas spinal fluid is clear of disease

• We pray for our providers, to give him the best sedation and for him to have no side effects from receiving anesthesia twice in a week.

• We pray for our spirits, and our family to stay strong through this trying time.

• We pray that we keep our faith strong in you God and do not operate from a place of fear because we believe in you and know you are with us ALWAYS.
