morning prayers

Good morning. Lucas has been in a lot of pain, nausea and experiencing a lot of fatigue and emotional exhaustion. We know Lucas is in your hands, God, and what an amazing fighter he is. We have also seen him go through a lot of painful experiences, but the past few days since transplant those numbers have reached very high / hard to tolerate levels. Although they say a lot of this is to be expected, as his parents its very hard to watch and we just want to take the pain away.

We would like to ask for the following prayers:

  • For Lucas’ pain and mucositis to go away as quickly as possible so he can recover and eat again.

  • For Dylan’s cells to engraft and grow successfully to heal him and NO Graft Host disease (rejection of cells).

  • For no other infections or fevers during this post transplant process.

  • For Lucas’s strength and spirit to keep on fighting and staying strong.

  • For our provider team, they are excellent and we are so grateful for them, but we pray for their continued wisdom and guidance in Lucas’ fight.

Thank you:

  • God, thank you for Dylan, she bounced back really quickly, we pray that the doctor releases her home tomorrow.

  • Thank you for Anne, Brian’s sister for offering to fly up and fly Dylan back.

  • Thank you for our grandparents for taking good care of Jack.

  • Thank you for Jack being able to go back to school this week, and playing basketball with his friends.

  • Thank you God, most of all, for taking us to this point in the journey, the point that will save Lucas’ life from the life of his little sister.
