Move to Houston

Today was a long day. We made the decision to move Lucas to MD Anderson Pediatric Oncology in Houston. Lucas was transferred via ambulatory care this morning, and is under the care of Dr. Branko Cuglievan with MD Anderson.

The depth of the team here and the resources for battling cancer are among the best in the world, and Branko has been a wonderful advocate for families across the world.

Lucas ate today, if you stick around until the end of this video you will get to see him eating pizza, his first meal in 14 days. They are impressed with his fighting spirit, and we are equally impressed thus far with the level of care, the facilities and the attention to detail of the team.

On a final note, we want to thank Dr. Shannon Cohn and the Dell Childrens team for saving Lucas’ life. They got us through the first 2 weeks of a very long journey and we will be eternally grateful to the entire team. As Dell Childrens grows with Austin, we need these valuable medical professionals. Thank you Dr. Cohn and the team.
