Today is June 1st, 2021. It is 314 days since Lucas Patrick Gourley was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Lucas has not been home since July 22, 2020.

Lucas got the green light to go home today after the doctors saw all 6 results of his tests.

We will still pray, we will still fight. We have learned more about the ability and the triumph of the human spirit then we ever thought possible. Our faith in God is renewed and restored. We believe. We believe in the healing power of Jesus, we are unabashed believers because we have seen it, we have been filled with the Holy Spirit on more than one occasion. In trying times it lifted us up, and we did our best to give God the glory in the good times.

This is a good time. This is Lucas’ moment to return and be a 7 year old boy again. To sleep in his own bed. To shoot hoops on his own basket. To see his brother and sister and play with them this summer.

Please continue to hold Lucas and our family in your hands Lord. Team Lucas we need your prayers still, to keep the cancer at bay. We need your prayers to keep Lucas from having neurological symptoms and side effects. No matter what we will walk as best we can on Gods side.

We fly home very soon. Thank you God, thank you Jesus. Amen
