Acute Myeloid Leukemia
On July 31st 2020 Lucas was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). AML is rare, affecting less that 500 Children Per year in the United States. Lucas currently has “refractory” AML to the first cycle. Less than 5% of the 500 cases of AML have the FLT3-Non-ITD genetic mutation, which is less than 25 in the US.

We are looking to meet parents of children with AML with the FLT3-non ITD mutation. Unless you are on a trial, the data on this information is opaque among treatment centers so we are combing the earth to find similar cases.
