A Time for Prayer

Good evening- Just got Lucas to bed early, as Mommy drives back from Nashville where she met my parents to drop Dylan and Jack off so they could go back to Austin. Lucas and I watched the Santa Clause II , it was so much fun watching him be a 6 year old boy. I feel like he constantly lives in the grown up world. As one of my favorite people said about Lucas, “Brian, Lucas is 12 he isn’t 6. Talk to him like he is 12, because he has lived more than most kids his age, and even more than most adults.” He was right, and it works to level with Lucas. But, he is still 6, and I think sometimes its easy for us to forget that.

Lucas hears everything, and tonight, I believe God will hear our prayers for him.

Monday, November 30th Lucas Patrick Gourley has a bone marrow biopsy and aspirate where they see if round 3 of chemo did its job. There is also a Lumbar Puncture (LP) to check his spinal fluid and re-administer some spinal chemo to keep the spine clean of leukemia.

Our prayers for group @8:30PM tonight

• We pray that tomorrow Lucas has a safe procedure with no complications

• We pray that his bone marrow is in remission and clear from the leukemia.

• We pray that his spinal fluid has ZERO leukemia cells.

• We pray for Lucas’ doctors and care team performing these procedures

• We pray for Jack and Dylan and our family to keep our strength and faith in Lucas’ healing journey.
