Calling on the Great Physician
Lucas needs you right now God. Jesus you are the Great Physician.
Team Lucas, If you are reading this you probably don’t know what a neutrophil is, but thats OK, because God will know what you are talking about.
Today is day 19 post transplant for Lucas.
His neutrophil (immunity) counts have dipped pretty significantly from 840 down to 390 the past few days, and even though the doctors deal with this all the time and are happy with his overall production, we as his parents have a high degree of concern.
Thank you God:
his rashes looks better
Fevers have gone down and mostly away which means he is off the IV pole for at least a little while today
He’s able to take some pills orally with applesauce
He has a little bit of water each day and is drinking some formula.
He is eating a little bit
Prayers:
Please God let his neutrophil counts go back up above 500 tomorrow and start an upwards trajectory
Please let his mucositis go away so he can stop vomiting 2-3 times a day
Please let his appetite return so that he can get the nutrition required for his body
If possible God please let us avoid putting the NG tube back in his body
for full healing of his body so he can be the active little boy he’s so longing to be again.
