The Mighty
Lucas has been doing PT and on a serious weight gaining diet. He has gained 10% body weight the past few weeks, we are so proud of him. It not a coincidence, there is a routine, a schedule. We use the Lose It app on Iphone, have been making the joke that it should be called the “Gain It” app. Tracking calories is so helpful, so is the PT Routine.
Please mark Thursday, April 15th on your calendar. That is day 63 post transplant and Lucas has his 60 day bone marrow biopsy where they check to make sure Dylans cells have engrafted and that his marrow is clean. We will send out a prayer for 8:30 pm EST on Wednesday night.
We sneak in whatever we can to spike Lucas food with calories. Nestle Benecalorie has been really helpful, as are the old classics Maple Syrup and Heavy Cream :)
Jack and Dylan are doing great in Austin. Thank you to Camp Stewart for letting us camp over Easter weekend, the kids had a blast. Thank you to the McManus clan for letting us stay in Hunt at the river cabin, so special.
Erin and Lucas are holding down the fort in Philly, eagerly awaiting the day they let him come home, which should be in May. There is some debate between the team and us about Lucas continuing the FLT3 inhibitor called Gileritinib when he is released. All of the data is adult, so Lucas continues to be a pediatric trailblazer. It is complicated, but we will pray for guidance on this one from God.
